Ezekiel's Temple Vision

Click here (YouTube) to view a computer-generated description of Ezekiel's visionary temple, described in great detail within Chapters 40-48 of the prophetic book...

You thoughts about the size of the complex? It's symmetry? It's potential meanings for an exiled community?

This is a very nice temple. The size is incedible. It would work very nicely for the community. There would not be a lot of worries.

The architecture of this temple is very high, so very mighty and impressive in addition to covering a large amount of space. The symmetry makes for beautiful simplicity. It could mean a lot for an exiled community. Any community in which a catastrophe has occurred has great meaning for that community. It gives them something to do, a purpose. It is a physical/literally manifestation of rebuilding the community is going through.

The symmetry of this complex is awe inspiring. It would provide a wonderful place for the people to focus and take comfort while in exile. The architectural excdellence to create such a thing would have made it very much seem as though it were divinely inspired.

I think the complex would have been very meaningful for an exiled community, in terms of providing safety and comfort for many (and based on its size, it would definitely have room for a large amount of people). I also think it would be meaningful in an aesthetic aspect because of it's apparent simplicity and symmetry. In the face of calamity, I think elegant and simple beauty would be welcome, especially if it was in the form of a complex for a community.

The size of the complex is, as mentioned in previous posts, quite incredible. Very, very large. The balance and symmetry of the structures show excellent planning. This complex would serve as a gathering space, a place of unification, for the exiled people. The temple's breadth and grandeur a clear testament to the will of the people, the power of their God and the strength of their faith.
